Synoptic panels for alarm systems

The AEK company was founded in 1998. It is manufacturing synoptic panels and control panels for alarm systems and industrial automation. These panels are built using custom driver (from MTS driver group) as well as using drivers that are part of alarm systems. We create panels for such centrals as:

Technology

Synoptic panels are made for individual customer order. Size, how it work’s, what is it made of and how it looks is decided by customer. Company serves suggestions and advices based on large experience in this field. Main part of synoptic panel is its content. Multicolor print of large display on plastic plate is placed in anoded alluminium. Outer size of table matches the demands of customer, typical size is B1 (1000 mm x 700 mm). Typical widths of synoptic panels are 30 mm, 60 mm and 90 mm. Custom widths are possible based on customer requirements. In many realisations a system keyboard or other driving device is inbuilded. Each table is supplied with a LED test button, which often serves as element to deleate acustic signal.

Content of the printout is prepared from resources supplied by the customer, those can be ACAD backrounds, building drawings on paper, hand drawings or photos. Project is generated in COREL DRAW, than in JPG format it is showed to the customer, and if accepted, the panel is constructed. Poiting elements in panels are LED diodes. These diodes are of Æ3mm, Æ5mm, Æ8mm, or other diameters. Colors used are red, yellow, blue, green, orange and white. Number of LED diodes is not limited, it depends on requirements and readability of the table. Specialized controller designed by AEK company constantly monitors proper work of LEDs and, in case of any failure, indicates the situation.

Point of the panel work is set by programming the driver. LED can pulsate either fast or slow, it can also shine constantly or inversionly. One alarm can be attached to several LED, one LED can be activated by several alarms. Each event can be backuped with acustic signal.

MTS drivers are connected to systems by RS232 or RS485 serial bus. It is possible to manufacture network panels which communicate with each other. Operation of controller is based on serial transmission. Exchange of information is being supervised by the controller and various alarm conditions like communciation failure, power supply failure and proper work of controller are indicated.

Complete synoptic table

The company offers complete synoptic tables. The customers delivers ACAD backrounds, building drawings on paper, hand drawings or photos. Thise materials are a base of creating the project in COREL DRAW. Afterwards the project is printed and put on a plastic plate. The drawing is water, moisture and attrition resistant. Then it is placed in a frame made of anoded alluminium. Installed LED are protruding over the plate in order to improve the angle of seeing the signal. All the elements required for proper functioning of the table are fixed into the table, it's connected to the system by a series junction. The table can be programmed according to the customers' expectations [system's addresses]. The customer hangs the table and connects to the system with provided documentation.

In case of panels controlled by other devices, LEDs are connected to terminal blocks. In such case LEDs are connected through circut testing system.

With large amount of LEDs a panel with different construction is being used - it consists of two separate elements. One element contains terminal blocks for control bus and the other one contains LEDs. That solution simplifies cable management.

MTS128xx controller

Dedicated design for controlling LEDs. Up to 128 LEDs can be connected. Build in buzzer, input for Reset / Test button, output for Panel / Connection / Power Supply Failure LEDs. Power supply 10-37 V DC, 4.4 W max. Following versions of controllers are available:

Includes LED cables and set of connectors. Each LED can be associated with one or more alarms. LEDs react on events from external system. Each controller can have up to 32768 event - LED associations. Each event can trigger 1 of 4 actions: 1 Hz pulse light, 5 Hz pulse light, static light, inverse light. Each event can have acoustic signal associated. It is possible to create a network of controllers (Master / Slave) which allows to create panels with large amount of LEDs.

MTS128xx programmer

Programmer allows to program MTS128xx controller to work with dedicated external system. Software allows to test synoptic panels LEDs. Includes both reading and writing controller data. Connects to controller with RS232 serial bus or USB (in case of MA32 device). In case of using RS232 connection a special cable with power supply is required. MA32 device requires only USB cable.

SpProgrammer is easy to use and includes features which speed up creation of controller program.

SKT8 converter

Converts RS232 / RS485 / RS232 signal. Enables transferring information gained from the RS232 junction for bigger distances (up to 1 km). A complete junction consists of two identical elements. From one side we connect RS232 - two lines TxD and RxD are used. Connection between the elements requires two pairs of strands and a ground wire (optional). On the other side we receive RS232 signal (null modem). Transmission of information with the speed of 9600 bods for the distance of 1 km is guaranteed.

SKT11 converter

Converter RS232 / RS485 / RS232. Designed for SINTONY switch-board - J7 connector (connection of the computer's printer). Specialized cable to SINTONY switch-boards with a special connector to joining in the J7 socket on the main board. It consists of two elements TO and FROM. Connected shortly (TO put in FROM) make an equivalent of the SAQ11 cable, disconnected and connected with max. 3 strands can carry information for the distance of 1 km with the maximal speed of 9600 bauds. RS232 on the other side is a null modem.

SKT18 converter

RS232 / RS485 / RS232 converter. Designed for SINTONY switch board J1 or J10 junction. A specialised wire for SINTONY switch board with a special junction for inputting into J1 or J10 socket on the main board. It consists of two elements ON and FROM. Connected together NA KROTKO (FROM put in ON) makes an equivalent to SAQ11 wire, disconnected and connected with max 3 strands can carry information on the distance of 1km with the max speed of 9600 bods. RS232 on the aother side is a null modem.

FP2000REC recorder

Recorded is designed to archive events from FP2864N18 / FP1216N18 fire panel. Is does not interfere in panel work. Records up to 10 000 events. It is connected between printer and controller. All events which are going to be printed are stored inside device memory. It is possible to read events on build in display or download them to PC and view in MS Excel. The second approach allows analyzing data at later time.

RP1A recorder

Recorder is dedicated device for monitoring sprinkler systems. It archives water pressure, work of main pump, work of Jockey pump. Stored data are presented on chart which allows a quick review of a system based on frequency of Jockey pump work. Recorder allows to store up to 1 year of data (newest data overrides the oldest one).

Control panel synopsis

We design and manufacture control panels for industrial automation. The protocol which is being used is Modbus. Indication elements and buttons are connected to MTS128xx controllers which are connected to our Gyrkin system working on single board computer. Internally system is using Modbus Rtu protocol. External systems are connected either through Modbus Rtu or Modbus Tcp protocol. Gyrkin is flexible software which allows to define specific logic between input and output systems. Is can be successfully used e.g. for valve controlling (Auma) or visualizing alarms from systems like Draeger (gas detection) or Polon 6000 (fire detection).

MTS128MO controller

Specialized mimic panel controller designed to work with industrial automation and fire detection systems which are using Modbus RTU protocol. Controller can control up to 128 individual LEDs. It contains TEST LED input and LED pulse synchronization mechanism (when working with multiple controller architecture). Each LED can be light up statically, pulse 1 Hz, pulse 5 Hz. Each individual LED is assigned to buzzer and concatenation of all logical signals activates physical device.

Controller works with 11-36 V DC. Max power usage is 4.4 W (all LEDs illuminates).
